Hi everyone, I'm the new kid on da block.

I've tried installing gaim 0.73 from linuxpackages.net and got the following error :
gaim: error while loading shared libraries: libgtkspell.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So what do I do ? I get libgtkspell's code and run the usual configure, make, make install gig.

The last one failed, however:
/usr/bin/ginstall: cannot stat `./html/index.sgml': No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [install-data-local] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/solarbear/gtkspell-2.0.4/docs'

I have no clue as to how to solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

get apt from freshrpms.net, then synaptic its gui...then from there you can install any rpm and all of its dependencies really easily.
