hi
when i want to connect to the internet via modem in kppp there is a
message in the begening"modem is reday" after that is another message
"initializing modem ..." and then can't connect to the internet.
my modem is conexant hsf modem and i downloaded the lates driver for
it from linuxant.com and installed it succesfully,my distro is red hat 9
hi gnu noob,
thanks for reply, with query modem there is a an empty table in the first column a list of AT1,AT2 probebly upto AT7 and next column is empty.
So what you are saying is that the table is empty, right? Anyway you probably don't have the correct device selected. Under details of kppp go to the devices tab. Thenmake sure the device in use is /dev/SHSF0(or something relative). That's what the problem was when I set up my conexant modem.
