Angry can't configure GTK!-gtk-gnutella

God Bless all here !

Which is as fine an Irish greeting as any coming from one pissed off newbie.
I have downloaded and whatdyacalled it GTK1-gtk-gnutella-0.92-i586-1.tgz However, when I go to the directory where it is /home/ogkyusa/Desktop/usr/share/gtk-gnutella and try
./configure gtk-gnutella, I get bash :./configure: no such file or directory.

Now, I have hunted high and low for ./configure, and I am either thick as two short planks, or the bloody thing is not in my box. Where do I go from here???
HELP HELP HELP or The Lord save me I shall be back on the bottle again.

what you have downloaded is a binary, what you have is what you would get if you downloaded the source then did ./configure and make, so your actually alot further than you think - lol. there should be some sort of README or INSTALL in the untarred directory so if you read that it should tell you how to complete the install.

for the future any tar archive with ix86, sparc, alpha, mips in the name are all binaries, and will only run on there specific platform source archives normally but not always have src in their names.

well.. you *can't* hunt high or low for ./configure... the ./ means it IS in your current directory.. no looking is required.

perosnally i'd say DO use the source... but geting a standard rpm is fine too really.
