Can't watch XVID - VLC 1.0.2


I upgrade to 1.0.2 and I get this error:
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "XVID". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

Install plugins, in Ubuntu, they are in the ubuntu-restricted-extra package

restricted-extras were already installed here is the output when ran in terminal.

btw video plays in mplayer & here are the results from terminal:
