Question can't use torrent: why?

Hello.

I just wanna ask how to use Azureus? I mean how to use torrents? I used it some time ago, but now the situation is something else. I have a DSL connection. From the DSL modem the cable goes to a wireless router (Edimax BR-6204WG). I connect to my router via WLAN, with wpa_supplicant. Until this everithing is fine. I have internet, I can browse websites, I can chat, etc. The problem is, that neither KTorrent, neither Azureus downloads torrents. They don't download anything shortly to say. The question is: What to do EXACTLY to make any of these work, I mean download. What to do in router, firewall (using guarddog for configuring) and in Azureus/KTorrent? Thanks for the trouble reading this and looking after the solution.

You most probably have blocked the router ports for bittorrent so you can't listen to any torrent seeder/tracker.

I suggest you to open the torrent ports (6881-6999) on your router configuration and enable those ports as well in you guarddog config as well to enable traffic on those ports.
This should be enough for starting having traffic over the torrent network
