Can't use KDE and Gnome anymore

I've recently downloaded and installed the newest OpenGL accelerated video drivers for my nvidia gforce card. After this, I opened up X and started blackbox, to test q3demo. It ran perfectly, with great performance. I then though it was ok to leave blackbox and start a gnome session, but it didn't happen... X just dropeed a confusing error msg and left me in the terminal.

Now, neither Gnome nor KDE are starting with X. Even worse: on blackbox itself, I can't run any Gnome or KDE apps - tried opening mozilla and konqueror, and both failed with the same error msg.

I double, triple-checked it...

I just can't understand what's going on, blackbox runs ok, but Gnome, KDE and their apps won't run anymore! I had to use the old driver just to come to the forum to post this msg!

First, you have to post the error message. It may be confusing to you, but somebody wrote it, and many others have seen it. . . .
