Can't see MythTv on Mythbuntu 9.04
 

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this issue, but I'll try it anyway. I just upgraded from Mythbuntu 8.10 to Mythbuntu 9.04 and when i start the machine up i get to the login screen, enter my user name and password, and it loads everything normally. I even see the "Application" button in the upper left hand corner and the time in the upper right corner as well as the internet icon next to the clock. After MythTv starts though the screen goes black. I exit MythTv and the operating system works just fine. I can open and view applications normally. As i stated at the beginning I upgraded from 8.10 and everything worked just fine with that version. any help, suggestions, or ideas on what i can do to fix this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sometimes, during a mythtv upgrade on my debian box, I have to go back and reset the password for the mythtv user on the mysql database. Check your syslog and your mythbackend log files to see if there's any other clues.
