can't read files from /mnt/cdrom, doesn't look like its supermount problem...

hi, running mdk 9.0 w/ kde3 here.

i can see what's in my cd when i insert into the cd rom by either ls /mnt/cdrom or browse through kde browser.

but if i start do something with the /mnt/cdrom (such as copy paste files from cd to hardisk) or use xmms, or watch movie using mplayer. i'm gonna able to see the files i've touch, and i won't be able to access to the rest of the files.

for example, say i have 50 mpg songs in my cd, i played 10 songs so far, if i ls /mnt/cdrom, i can only access to the 10 songs i was playing so far. the rest of the 40 songs i can see, but it can't access.

here's a example what i see in my console:

[allen@localhost allen]$ cd /mnt/cdrom/
[allen@localhost cdrom]$ ls
ls: Boot: No such file or directory
ls: Mandrake: No such file or directory
[allen@localhost cdrom]$

you will see the name of the file, but it'll say No such file or directory.

in order to gain access to it, you have to eject cd and insert back in. at first i thought it was supermount problem. after i had supermount disbaled, this problem still here, and i'm running outta idea how to get this fix.

i've update all the bug fix from mdk since i got my linux box running. and i go back to mandrake update, and i'm not showing anymore bug fix i can download. so any idea and suggestions here would be greatly appreicate :)

thanks

ok, i found the problem, its a bug within mdk. i heard the same bug goes to 9.2 as well. supermount may not be 100% disable if you don't restart your computer like windoze does.

because i re-disable supermount, and restarted computer. that fixed the problem...
