well first you need to figure out what device your cdrom is... it kinda runs like this:
primary master == /dev/hda
primary slave == /dev/hdb
secondary master == /dev/hdc
secondary slave == /hdd
its most likely going to be the first partition in the drive so you would use /dev/hdx1
you also need a place to mount it to so mkdir a directory somewhere to mount it to
then mount it to that directory:
mount /dev/hdx1 /cd-rom
