can't play files on espn.com

hey, all. i'm having trouble playing files on espn's website. i use opera to surf usually, but i've also tried this with mozilla. i downloaded the mplayer plugin (i read in another thread that mplayer worked for someone to play these files), but it didn't work. i also playing them through the command line with mplayer and xine, and also tried opening them manually in real player. nothing worked. any suggestions?

thanks, and let me know if you need more information to be able to help.

What kind of files are they? Do you have the correct Mplayer codecs for the files?

i'm not positive what kind of files they are. the following page talks about their multimedia files:

http://sports.espn.go.com/sitetools/s/tools/index.html

it looks like the files are either .avi or real player files. i tried one through real player, so i'm guessing the most of the files are .avi. i'll check out to see that i have the .avi codecs for mplayer.

thanks
