Can't play a darn thing with Totem in FC3

I can't play anything with Totem in Fedora Core 3. I can't play DVD's, I can't play CD's, I can't play avi files I know work. The error I get says that whatever it is I want toplay failed to open, reason unknown; but I can play the CDs under xmms or gnome cd just fine. All updates have been installed. Any ideas? Thanks!

You are going to need libraries to play all that stuff.
libdvdcss
libdvdread
libquicktime
xvidcore - optional

If you use apt or yum, you can access get the packages mentioned above from freshrpms or other Fedora Core repositories.
