It is defiantly my monitor. I hooked my old one and everything went fine.

I think the problem is the boot up screen forces a resolution my monitor can't handle.

My mouse still doesn't work though. When I installed Slack in Vmware, I used the Intellimouse driver from the start and it worked. The reason I choose the PS/2 one this time is because the scroller didn't work. Maybe that wasn't a good idea, but I should be able to change it back.

I did what you said to get my mouse working and it worked!

Now I can't get online. I must not of configured my network right.

Getting online. Issue "netconfig" as root. That's the same app Slackware used on the install. Then you just need too know things. This is also in Slackware Linux Basics: For Slackware Linux 10.2 so I won't bother typing it out for you. Just go through the steps there -- Daniël even put screenshots -- and write down what you need. Then when you do it in Slack, you'll be ready.

Your monitor is easily overcome, but right now I'm drawing a blank and otherwise occupied. Search LQ and the answer is here.
