Unhappy Can't install slapd - Broken package

Can't install slapd (OpenLDAP) server on my laptop running Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid)
Gives broken package error

Code:
sudo apt-get install slapd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
slapd: Depends: libldap-2.4-2 (= 2.4.21-0ubuntu5.2) but 2.4.21-0ubuntu5.3 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
ldap-utils and libldap are already there
Code:
dpkg -l | egrep "libldap|ldap-utils"
ii ldap-utils 2.4.21-0ubuntu5.3 OpenLDAP utilities
ii libldap-2.4-2 2.4.21-0ubuntu5.3 OpenLDAP libraries
Can't figure out how to resolve this. Also tried updating the repo
Even --fix-broken won't work. Ubuntu software center and Synaptic also complain

HELP PLZ!!!

As it says, it wants a specific version.

apt-get update / wait a day / try again

What's in your /etc/apt/sources.list?

What do `apt-cache policy slapd` and `apt-cache policy libldap-2.4-2` say?

You gave me the right direction of sources.list, many THANX to you.

I did a lot of jugglery with the software sources, addition/deletion, check/uncheck. Tortured my system to 3rd degree and finally it yielded.

Voila!! Worked like magic

Some of the sources(can't say which one) were offering BROKEN slapd.
This is what libldap-2.4-2 said:
Code:
apt-cache policy libldap-2.4-2
libldap-2.4-2:
  Installed: 2.4.21-0ubuntu5.3
  Candidate: 2.4.21-0ubuntu5.3
  Version table:
 *** 2.4.21-0ubuntu5.3 0
        500 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     2.4.21-0ubuntu5.2 0
        500 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security/main Packages
     2.4.21-0ubuntu5 0
        500 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages
When I changed some sources, it got the correct slapd version
