I've downloaded irssi-0.8.6.tar.gz and extract all the files into irssi-0.8.6 directory from there i've tried ./configure and appeared an error like this:

... then i tried rpm but still nothing

Can anyone help me??

I think that means you've not got a C compiler installed. Install GCC, it should be somewhere on your distro's disks (please tell me if this is all wrong, gurus ).
