Unhappy Can't get X server to start in Mandrake 9.1

I just installed Mandrake 9.1. On reboot, everything went fine until the xserver began to start. All it did was flash for about 30 seconds and then it quit and sent me to a text login. I tried running startx, but the same thing happened. I have no idea what is wrong. MDK 9.0 worked fine. Here are my specs:
PIII 650, 192MB, and S3 Trio3D graphics card. The S3 Trio3D is supposed to be supported by XFree86, so I am really at a loss. Could someone please tell me how to fix X?

Check the details in your XF86Config-4 against the S3 driver status page at XFree86.org.
