Can't figure out this error

im trying to running a small program used for querying ventrilo servers (which comes witht he server itself) whne i try to run it i get

./ventrilo_status: /lib/ld-linux.so.2: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory

to make matters worse this is my /lib directory

-bash-3.00# ls -l /lib
total 12
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Aug 15 11:39 firmware
drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 4096 Dec 9 02:45 modules
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Aug 15 01:31 security

This is on centOS 4.4 and im using the generic i386 linux server package of ventrilo.

any ideas? maybe i just need to install some small stuff? I tried googling around and found no real answers

So I'd guess you don't have ld-linux.so on your system. On my CentOS 4.4 box, it's in /lib.

This is provided by the glibc package, so check to see if that's installed, and if not, install it.

Rgds
