It seems that cupsd is not installed on my system. However, if i try to look for it in symantic, cupsd isn't there also. I do have cupsys. Is that the same with cupsd?
I dont know much about Mephis and never ever used Synaptic - but cupsys and Synaptic sounds like Debian or derivative...
There the prog I mentioned is called cupsys, located in /usr/sbin/cupsd and controlled via executing /etc/init.d/cupsys start/stop/restart...
How about that?
I reinstalled the Mepis. I used Mepis 3.3.1. Before, I installed Mepis 3.4.3 but my two ethernet cards didn't work. I do have two ethernet cards:
eth0 61.9.10.100 - Static IP
eth1 192.168.0.201 - LAN
The eth1 is worked but the eth1 didn't. WHat i noticed is that after boot up, the eth0 is working but after a few seconds, it suddenly stopped working.
