calculate amount of data transferred to certain ip addresses

hi all

we are working with a company and we need to invoice them based on the amount of data that they downloaded from us

i am happy to just use the apache access log because we know the ip's that they are using, but my only concern is the file size of the log, and accessing it

it is currently around 115 MB's

does anyone know of a better way to do this, or is this it?

if so (on either count), can someone point me in the direction of a script that can do this for me

i could do this with php, but i think it's prolly not the right language for it

the script should probably just check for certain ip's, and get the file size
and then insert into the database, running as a daily cron

thanks
dave
