Hello everyone

when i ./configure cario-1.12-0. and then give me an error as below:

checking for cairo's image surface backend feature...
checking for pixman ... no
no
checking whether cairo's image surface backend feature could be enable... no (requires pitman-1 >=0.22.0 http://cairographics.org/releases/)
configure: error: mandatory image surface backend feature could not be enable.

how to do it which can be configured successfully?

read the install instructions and install all the required software needed for building it
the two files called
README and INSTALL

maybe i have install ubuntu update via apt-get dist-upgrade..

I met the same problem with ubuntu11.10. pixman-1 is there (version 0.22.0). Not sure what is wrong!
Could you please help me out this? Thanks a lot!
