buzzy audio

been fighting with this for a couple of days now, AC'97 VIA 1616 onboard (Soyo SY-KT600 Dragon Plus v1.0) it will play CD's, all kinds of stuff that comes in through outside inputs, sounds good when it did the initial audio test during install. but at best now it gives me a buzz for any other audio from internal sources.

Fedora C2.

(and if I get this working, maybe figure out why the kernal upgrade won't work with my eithernet)

Avix,

Did you ever sort this out? I'm having what sounds like the exact same problem!

I'd be so grateful for any pointers.
