Burning protected CD's

I'm trying to overburn a cd which is protected by some kind of protection (it's a CD with game). I've been trying to create an image of that cd with dd command (dd if=/dev/hdc of=image.iso), but it locks in half of process. How can I get an image of protected CD?

I'm asking here, because I want to do it with Linux...

Oxyd.

Ahh... illegal... No, it isn't. Look at EULA - it allows you to create one backup copy. What do you think I'm trying to do?

Perhaps adding 'bs=2048' will make a difference.

It won't... Still the same - after some time of copying the light on the cd's flashing (reading), but it isn't wring anything...
