Burning mp3s with K3B

I'm sure this has been asked many times, but I was unable to find anything. I am trying to use the drag and drop functionality of K3B to burn mp3 files and I am told that mp3 is an unsupported file format. OGG on the other hand has no issues. The K3B website states that MAD is required for mp3 decoding, and according to my freshly installed SuSE 9.0 MAD is installed. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Steve
