burning dvd's

i was wandering if i got a dvd burner would it be able to burn "encrypted" dvd's because when i used xcdroast to read the dvd and put it on my hd but it had errors and i have tryed a few riping programs but they said that libdvdread does not support encrypted dvd's

it's all becuase you're probably using the software that came as part of the redhat discs, which are deliberatley crippled. install libdvdread any any other relevant programs from source or third party rpms from their own sites.

as for burning encypted dvds... i don't really think that's your concern. the encyprtion part comes from getting the data OFF the dvd, not onto one. use a program like vobcopy to decrypt vobs to your drive.
