burn dvds


fellas,

I try to burn a DVD on slackware, but i cant do it. The cdrecord show me this:

Add -dao to the cdrecord-dvd burn command when you run it.





And look at ProDVD as you might not be able to do what you want with your current software anyway.

Ok ok...

I thought about it further... get yourself the prodvd, then add the -dao option. Then maybe it will work.

If you are running KDE and have k3b installed just use that to burn dvd's because it doesn't require cdrecord-ProDVD.

What fixed it for me

I was encountering similar problems with cdrecord-ProDVD. This website helped:

What I did to fix the problem was to use -dao option along with the -force option. This allowed the DVD to be burned.

Example: cdrecord-wrapper.sh -v -dao -force -eject dev=1,0,0 driveropts=burnfree whatever.iso
