buggy kde-2.2 screen saver

I think the screen saver of kde-2.2 it buggy. it sometimes hangs the system and could not recover from it unless you reboot.it happens in many machines i know. i also see some threads regarding this topic.
but found no solution to this

now i wanted to know whether there is a bug fix released for this system hangup

Yes there is a bug fix, you can either install kde-2.2.2 or kde-3.0.1

No patch, the bug fix is in the upgrade.
