Unhappy Broken LILO on Lindows 4.5

I have a hard disk with Lindows 4.5 on it, but I no longer have the installation disc. So to try and preserve it I used Norton Ghost to copy it to another hard disk. but when it comes to boot all I get is "LI" then it halts.

I dont have linux installed anywhere as of yet, but I do have knoppix 3.6 livecd which boots and I can view the Lindows partitions.

Does anyone know how I can fix the LILO on it so I can boot again?

Many thanks in advance

You can use a windows startup disk and run "fdisk /mbr" at the command prompt.

First, chroot
Code:
chroot /dev/hda*
to the Lindows partition, then reinstall lilo
Code:
/sbin/lilo

Firstly I did the FDISK /MBR from a boot disk, but it not boots to say "missing operating system"

and chroot'ing worked but when i tried lilo it just says:
Fatal: open /dev/discs/disc0/disc: No such file or directory

any idea on this?

Sorry about my previous posts, it probably would not have been very helpful since it would have just removed LILO. Anyway, if you can chroot into Lindows, can you post your /etc/lilo.conf as well as a rough guide to your hardware i.e. what hard drive is Lindows installed.
