Brasero doesnt work but command line does - Fedora

Running brasero version 2.32.0 - Fedora 14 (yes I know -see below).

Brasero fails on both writing a CD and a DVD. I thought it was drive so I bought a new drive - same result.

I tried command line - works fine

>su ...
>genisoimage -R -o cdimage.raw /path/to/my/directory
>wodim -v dev=/dev/dvdrw5 cdimage.raw

While the programs have a zillion options, they are smart enough to decide which to use for a simple directory to disk copy.

Just thought I'd share.

Dick

Re Fedora 14 - I cloned disk - upgraded to Fedora 16 and it is not for me. Slower than 14, takes more memory, has no apparent advantages for me and rather serious neatives for me. Maybe if I had latest and greatest hardware the hardware would compensate for the bloatware, but I'm not in the market for a replacement computer.
