I wanted to knwo how i could change the settings of the inital bootup screen, the one where you decide to boot windows or linux.
at the moment it boots to linux, i wanted it to boot to windows.
(when i get familiar with linux then i will set it to windows)
not sure what youre asking here, but it sounds like you want to set windows to boot first? Depending on what boot loader youre using (lilo or grub) you need to go in and change the line defining which partition is loaded first to the partition holding your windows install. post which boot loader you have and i can give you much more detailed info.
when you boot your system, if youre using lilo, it will spell LILO out on the top of the screen. also, if youre using red hat, youre likely using grub, unless you opted to use a different one (lilo), which it sounds like you wouldnt have done.
