sorry, Hey, does anyone have bootsplash working? i have just installed it, but i have a question. When i start the computer i see the image (silent mode) but when linux hasnt finished loading it goes to verbose mode without me pressing f2 and i dont see the silent mode image, just tux behind the kernel messages. is this normal? have you fixed it? i want to see the silent mode image until linux finishes loading, is this possible? thx

I _think_ it has to do with the splash_early and/or splash_late scripts, but this is just guessing.

What distro are you using? The bootsplash screen only lasts until the kernel loads then it passes control to the init process. Once init starts you lose bootsplash unless your init scripts are setup to use bootsplash. Suse and Mandrake both have bootsplash enabled init-scripts, I don't know about the other distros.

I am using debian, maybe that's the problem. The first time i installed bootsplash and the script following the instructions from a bulma tutorial, then i tried installing it from apt-get. I installed the bootsplash package and sysv-rc-bootsplash (- Bootsplash patches to rc/rcS files). I had the same problem, before the progress bar completes, i lose the silent mode image. Anyone using debian has fix this problem?any scrpt? thanks and sorry for my english
