When you install grub as part of a Linux setup, it puts the config files on the Linux partition. Delete the partition and Grub is lost.
You have 3 options:
BEST: Delete Windows and install a Linux distro that you like (Then proceed to become a guru here)
BETTER: Install another Linux distro and let it put in ITS bootloader
GOOD: Boot from Windows CD, rescue mode, get to a prompt and type "fixmbr" (We'll miss you, but we will understand)
AND: Don't take LQ members too seriously.....
