The kernel could not be loaded...when running the computer the Grub bootloader is lanched and i am now being able to enter to windows or KDE as usual before running several commands on grub....help pleaseeee
Which distro and version are you using? Are you saying you can manually boot grub but it won't boot otherwise? Did you do any upgrades recently? How many hardrives, partitions do you have? Can you post fdisk -l and menu.lst output?
grub is usually installed after the kernel. If you have a live cd, boot and from terminal run the command yancek ask. We need the information he asked for or we would be guessing.
well i was trying to create a new primary partition G...
i have 6 partitions till sda6.
the problem is that when i startup the computer the grub is launched and i have to type several commands to get into windows...and i can access it
but when i type the boot command so i can get into my KDE fedora Core 8.a mesage is displayed that the kernel should load first and the linux can not boot
My guess is that some of the files for Fedora were distroyed in making the new partition. You may have to reinstall Fedora. You can use a live cd to recover any data on it. I am not sure with Fedora 8, but there should be a repair mode. But remember all we can do is guess till you give us your fdisk - l. The /boot/grub/menu.lst can wait because if it was on Fedora you may not be able to find it.
