Angry Boot problems


Him, got this problem:

When I try to boot from CD (tried 5 distros) and it always freezes giving me blank screen after "Uncompressing Linux...... ok Booting the kernel....."

I tried noacpi, noapm, failsafe etc......

My config

Win2K working fine on that machine.

Its Pentium Pro 366 with onboard VGA and 128MB RAM. 4MB takes VGA, so it has 124MB RAM.

hi there
the ram seems to be fine
but u need to check out the minimum requirements for the distro's u r installing( i am not sire for pentium pro 366)
post the distros u were installing

The kernel...

The kernel didnt even load !!!!

The same distros work fine on 200MMX.........

u can check out ur CDS/CDROM drive in that case

you could try ur USB this was my problem i disabled it during the install and then enabled it in the bios after the install so i could set it up CAUTION you may be left with no mouse or keyboard to install with if u r using USB ones if so just use old stuff or borrow even if u have nice friends
