Boot CD

Hi,

I want to create a bootable CD with a DOS (M$-DOS|FreeDOS|DrDOS|...) as OS so i can flash my bios.
As you can imagine i have no floppy drive or Redmond OS anywhere. I want to create a Boot CD with the Bios Rom on it. How can i realize that?

Thank you in advance!

The system rescue cd has freedos on it along with lots of other goodies. At the boot prompt, press F2 to see the options.

I don't know if this is included in it, but The Ultimate Boot CD has saved my butt a couple of times.

Bart is famous for that sort of thing... http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/
Otherwise, I saw quite a few hits by googling for:
"make cdrom with dos emulation"

Grab a boot floppy image from the freedos project. You can modify to suit using
mount -o loop floppy.img /mnt/point

Change what you need and then unmount it.

When you are done, create a folder called "boot" and populate with the
contents of your cd and drop the img into it as well.

Then run:

mkisofs -r -b boot/floppy.img -c boot/boot.catalog -o bootcd.iso .

mkisofs will create the boot.catalog, your just telling it where to create it.
