bmp bmpx

hi all,

I have been using bmp for a long time. Now I have just discovered that the code of bmp is no longer be maintained. From that page, a desendent (audacious) and bmpx are out and available for download now.

I want to know what is the difference between bmp and bmpx? (Google gives no luck)

Thanks.

http://bmpx.berlios.de/w/index.php/FAQ#About

That is basic, reading over the entire FAQ though, if you know about XMMS and BMP then you'll be able to pick up most of the differences. In short, XMMS is XMMS, BMP is a GTK2 port of XMMS, BMPx is a rewrite using more modern schtuff behind it.
