hello i am using ubuntu edgy and i have a bluetooth usb doogle. i want to be able to send files to and from my nokia phone. i installed kdebluetooth and it detected everything and could send files to my phone but my phone was unable to send files to my computer. it kept saying unable to connect. i then tried to "pair" the phone with the computer from the phone settings but it kept asking for a passcode which i dont know (i dont really know a lot about what pairing is but i think this is what i need)

i never set any passcodes or anything and there doesnt seem to be a setting to set one. can anyone help me?

AFAIK the passcode asked is one you can make up on the spot. It's just so both computers get the same passcode. For example use the day/month of birth. 2104 would be for me!

You do have to have this passcode in ur /etc/bluetooth/pin file!

So just go there and edit the file, put in a passcode. And then pair ur phone with comp!
