block in installation of shoes on debian squeeze
dear all,
I’m stuck in installation of shoes on debian 6.
When running concluding ‘rake’ in the installation procedure I got the message:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lruby
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
rake aborted!

googling brought a hope there was a typo in some config file but which one and where to find I have no notion.
Help please.
