BlackBox and KDM, please HELP!
 

I've been reading thread after thread, and help page after help page and can't seem to get Blackbox to work from KDM.... I'm running Mandrake 9.1 and it starts right into KDM. I would really prefer not to have to run Blackbox by the startx method. Can anyone please help me with this?

you want to add blackbox to the 'session' login screen in RedHat. To do that, login as root/su and do the following: cd /etc/X11/gdm/Sessions
cp GNOME Blackbox (or ../kdm) 3) With your favorite editor (vim, emacs, etc.) open the file you just copied called Blackbox. Leave the first line alone and change the second line so that it now just reads (no path necessary): exec blackbox After this you should logout to GDM/KDM, click on the sessions tab and you should be able to login to a blackbox session. Pretty simple, I hope this helps anyone trying to install blackbox on a RedHat 9 system.
