Bittorrent - not running??

I have installed Bittorrent several times and am having troubles getting the application to run properly, or ar all.

When I attempt to run via SHELL I get: bash: /usr/bin/bittorrent: /usr/bin/python: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
and when I try to start it with "run" I get an error: KDEInit could not launch 'bittorrent'.

Installation in on SLACKWARE 10.2 using bittorrent-3.9.1-noarch-1.tgz and/or bittorrent-3.9.1-noarch-1.tgz

Any one have any ideas, I want to get back into assisting with seeds.

(while on the subject of downloading apps I can't get LimeWire working properly either using installpkg - perhaps I am not installing into the correct directory? )

Do you have Python installed? It doesn't look like it, what is the output of this:
Code:

which python

That error suggests that you don't have Python installed. If this is the case, install it from your Slack 10.2 CDs, or get it from here.
