Work around for "No module named wxPython.wx"
I ran into the same problem of "No module named wxPython.wx"
Here is what I noticed....
I am running Mandrake 9.2 RC2. I've tried running btdownloadgui.py, but received the error:
[mike@mdk mike]$ btdownloadgui.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/btdownloadgui.py", line 13, in ?
from wxPython.wx import *
ImportError: No module named wxPython.wx
After digging around, I noticed that wxPython was installed in /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/wxPython/.
BitTorrent however, is installed in the Pythin 2.3 directory (/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/BitTorrent/)
When I went to run btdownloadgui.py, it uses python 2.3 , and was seeking in the /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/ for wxPython
A work around for me was to copy the entire /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/wxPython/ directory to /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/ directory.
cp -R /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/wxPython /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/wxPython
This may work for you. Give it a try.
