Bittorents in linux?

I have never downloaded a bittorrent file in linux before. I have a few torrent files right now and I would like to download them, what client should I use? I can't seem to get any of the clients to work!!!

www.bitornado.com
www.azerous.com
www.bittorrent.com

I have tried all three of those and I can't get them to work, 2 of them because of some "python" program that I need and I can't seem to figure out how to use. Can anyone just please reocmmend me a client that is easy to install and use?

Thanks!!

PS- I would prefer something with a GUI!

Azureus is written in java. Did you try installing it? What errors did you get?

Hi there. I think this may help you out. Azureus is a GUI for bittorrent. It is run with java, so it is a bit of a memory hog, unless you use a lot of java that would be ok. Here is the link:

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

Even in your own home directory, Azureus is not that hard to setup, and it is a really nice bittorrent interface that I really enjoy.

When using the python programs remember to use the "python" prior to the command. :D If you still get errors then you are missing some packages, but Azureus removes that problem, as long as you have java 1.4.2 installed on your system.

I hope this helps you out. :)

use Bittornado for gnome, Azuerus for KDE. that seems to be the bset mix.

Thanks!
