Bind - secondary server not receiving updates

I'm at my wit's end on this. Everything looks like it should work fine. I've got Bind9 installed on a dedicated server (primary) and a slave set up here at home. Both servers work fine on their own, but the slave server refuses to downloaded the zone data from my primary server. Highly doubt it's a firewall issue, as the server here at home is able to resolve queries from the Internet. I've examined /var/log/messages. I'm not sure exactly what I should be looking for, but what I see makes it look like the zone data is indeed being transferred.

The results upon starting the server:

Code:
Aug 25 19:54:14 greyhavens named[32155]: starting BIND 9.3.0 -u named -t /chroot/named -c /etc/named.conf

Aug 25 19:54:19 greyhavens named[32155]: transfer of 'xxxxx.com/IN' from xxx.xxx.xxx#53: end of transfer
This is the first time the 'zone transfer deferred due to quota' has showed up, so I doubt it has any relevance. But everything else is the same. Says Transfer started, transfer of xxxx.xxx, and then end of transfer. Does that look right?

That looks correct to me. What makes you think that the transfer isn't completing successfully? I'm assuming that you have a local file specified on the slave server, ie:
zone "xxxx.com" in {
type slave;
file "slave/db.xxxx";
masters { xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx; };
};

Does the slave db file ever get created on your local system?
