I have some problem with my Bind dns configuration.
I created a zone for the local Lan for local name resolution. which has the same name as our external domain name. lets say I created a zone exapmle.com and our official domain name is also example.com. Also i set up forwarding to isp dns to resolve other address. Now problem is our external domain is not resolved. Is there any work around for this?
thanks
Lhrt
Is your DNS server autoritary on your zone?
You can't set up a DNS in your local network and expect external DNS to resolve to it, it has to be linked, mean your ISP dns has to forward to yours (and you usually have to pay for that).
