Hi, ive just switched over to linux mandrake from XP and on XP i used to use the Mozilla Firebird broswer, so I downloaded it for Linux, but I have no idea how to get it started. I have the file so could somebody please tell me or link me to a page that will show me how I can get Firebird to be my browser?

hi, you need to extract the tarball you downloaded (double-click it in konqueror/whatever), then go to the MozillaFirebird directory, then double-click on the MozillaFirebird file.
I don't know how to install it to the standard locations, i'm not sure you can, but i'll get back to you
