best way to block layer ads in firefox?

I just noticed that http://www.torrentreactor.to/ started using dhtml layer based ads from layer-ads.de. First pop-up ad I've seen in a long time... anyway, I was easily able to add "http://layer-ads.de/*" to my adblock extension to eliminate the ad, but is there a way to stop Firefox from allowing the layer tag to be used at all?

I hope it will be hacked soon. Ads are so annoying.
