Best video editing software for lnux?
Im not sure if windows has linux beat on this one, but can anyone reccomend a good open source video editor? Thanks.

LiVES (Linux Video Editing System) but really nothing beats Final Cut....that is the benchmark all other Video Editors follow (IMHO, of course)... |

it has got to be THE slowest loading software I have on my computer.
also the slowest at loading any video file (avi or mpeg) that I have. can't gert rid of it fast enough. nick |

Are you gonna buy final cut pro for me? AT $500 to $1,000+, depending on the version of overkill, I didn't think so. We're talking for Linux here, as in FREE SOFTWARE. The only free one that works the way it should, including firewire out back to the camcorder in raw dv, is Kino. It's definately equal to I-Movie or Pinnacle/Avid Studio DV. To author the movie to DVD, DVDStyler is a very good Linux Video Authoring tool.
