best suited for Presario 2100

hey fellas,
to put the story short.. I have a compaq presario 2100 laptop and have fed3 installed (dual boot XP) and it doesnt not recognize my HP Wlan 54g and my ati radeon Graphics card.... I know i gotta use the ndis wrapper but for a newbie it kinda looks a little complicated...is there anyone who has the same hardware and have used any other distro which recognises hardware without much problem....any info would be gr8ly appretiated.

Try MEPIS http://www.mepis.org/, at terminal as root type ndiswrapper -i in the dir with your drivers, then go to OS Control Center / networking / wireless and enter your info.
