I'm looking for a piece of software that will help me to organise my Digital Camera photo collection.

I've just changed to Suse Linux 9.0 using KDE from windows 98. A big change!

In Windows i used to use something called Thumbsplus, which was basically a database with a photoviewer bolted to it. Very good piece of software, but they don't have an OpenSource version.

I've found the Gnome Photo Collector, and whilst it looks good it doesn't quite meet what i'm after.

Anyone have any ideas ? Which bits of software do you like the best for organising your photos? What runs well, and can cope with the most file formats?

If all else fails i'll have to try and sit down and write my own.

I could use Wine and try and run Thumbsplus that way, but i'd rather have an OpenSource version.

I use something called Album Shaper (albumshaper.sourceforge.net) which works fine for my needs.
