best open-source Microsoft Publisher clone?

I want to familiarize myself with Microsoft Publisher, A.S.A.P., in preparation for applying for a soon-to-be vacant job I found out about. Is there an open-source clone similar enough that learning it would basically mean learning MS Publisher (a la OpenOffice WP's great functional similarity to MS Word)?
It's not really the money. I'd go buy a copy of MS Publisher, but that would take some time, even if I just went to a retail store. If there is an open-source clone with almost no differences, I could download it immediately.

MS Publisher is an entry level page layout program. Linux offers two such apps which are more powerful. I can't say how closely they resemple MS Publisher.

They are Lyx and Scribus.

I've heard the name Scribus...I'll try it. Is it pronounced with a long or short I?
