That all depends on your previous experience, surely. I would go for CheeseTracker since I have had a lot of experience with trackers in the past, and I know how the various functions work (broadly). However, I have had only limited experience with MIDI so I wouldn't opt to go for MIDI software.

What are you most experience in, Q?
