Best method for dual boot with dual hard drive?

I've got Windows 2000 on my first drive and have installed Linux on the second. The MBR on disk one simply boots 2000 as before and I use a floppy if I want to boot linux.

Can I put Lilo or grub on the first drive and boot both 2000 and linux from there ? If not what's the best way to do it ?

Yes, you can put LILO or GRUB bootstrap to your MBR. If your first drive is, say, hda then put boot=/dev/hda in your /etc/lilo.conf file. To add a win2k booting option, also add: other=/dev/hda1 <if your win2k is on the 1st partition of hda (i.e. first) drive>
label=winblows <or whatever you want>
Then run 'lilo -v'. If you can't get it working, please post the error messages if there are any.
